The Neuro Gamma 4 features 5 Vie-LED modules that emit pulsed 810 nm near-infrared light at 40 Hz.

Although near-infrared light is largely invisible, the design delivers high power (~300 mW/cm² irradiance, 1000 mW per transcranial LED, 5000–6000 mW total) without generating heat. See 3rd-party testing report.

What is the main difference between the Vielight Neuro devices?

The main difference between the Neuro devices lies in the pulse frequencies they provide access to:

- The Neuro Gamma 4 pulses near-infrared light at 40 Hz, a frequency associated with gamma brainwaves in scientific literature.

- The Neuro Alpha 4 pulses near-infrared light at 10 Hz, a frequency associated with alpha brainwaves in scientific literature.

- The Neuro Duo 4offers access to both pulse frequencies – alpha and gamma.

Gamma waves are often linked in literature to focused work, while alpha waves are frequently associated with relaxed mental states.

The manufacturer recommends initially using the Neuro Gamma 4 every other day, up to six days a week – depending on personal preference.

A session lasts approximately 20 minutes.

Vielight Neuro Gamma

The Vielight Neuro Gamma is one of two next-generation transcranial-intranasal Near-Infrared (NIR) headsets designed for enhanced efficacy and easy at-home use for comprehensive brain photobiomodulation.

Its dynamic design is a heavily revised upgrade of the original Vielight Neuro. This powerful device features enhanced transcranial clusters and updated microchip LED technology. This triples the previous power density and creates a special form factor for a wider variety of head shapes and sizes.

Currently, Vielight Neuro Gamma is capable of extracting one of the highest amounts of energy from a pulsed near-infrared LED source by integrating microchip technology into the intranasal diode as well.
