810 nm NIR LED

Near-infrared light, available in two pulse rates:

  • 10 Hz (alpha mode) — studied in relation to relaxation and stress responses
  • 40 Hz (gamma mode) — studied in relation to attention and cognitive processes

633 nm red LED

Visible red light, used in research in connection with systemic photobiomodulation.

Both modules run on the same device and can be replaced individually.

MIP — Multimodal Intranasal Photobiomodulation device

The MIP is a portable, light and robust device for intranasal photobiomodulation. It runs on ordinary AA batteries. The MIP 633-810 model carries two intranasal modules.

Intranasal delivery

Vielight's patented intranasal photobiomodulation technology delivers light through the nasal area.

The MIP models compared

  • MIP 633-810: two applicators — 810 nm combined with 633 nm (red LED)
  • MIP 655-810: two applicators — 810 nm combined with 655 nm (red laser)
  • MIP 470-633-655-810: four applicators — combines both of the above and adds 470 nm, a wavelength studied in research relating to microbial processes

All MIP models include the 810 nm wavelength.

The statutory warranty of two years under EU law applies.

  • We are an authorised global reseller for Vielight.
  • Refunds must be claimed through the point of sale where you bought the device.
  • Intranasal applicators bought separately cannot be exchanged or refunded.
  • Orders from outside the EU may incur additional costs: import duties, taxes and carrier fees. These are easy to overlook and add to the total price.

Beware of counterfeit or imitation Vielight devices offered online — they are illegal. Genuine devices carry the “Vielight” logo. We cannot stand behind devices sold through Amazon, eBay or similar marketplaces; they may be stolen or counterfeit. Possible side effects:

In individual cases, mild and transient effects such as headache, dizziness or slight discomfort at the site of application have been reported. These usually subside on their own.

The manufacturer suggests a session length of about 25 minutes and reports that an observation period of typically four to eight weeks makes sense.
