The MIP 470-633-655-810 brings four intranasal modules together in one device: 470 nm (blue), 633 nm (red LED), 655 nm (red laser) and 810 nm (NIR), pulsed at either 10 Hz or 40 Hz.

Portable, light and robust — powered by ordinary AA batteries. It is the only Vielight device with the 470 nm wavelength.

How it works

810 nm NIR LED (violet)

Near-infrared light, used in research on photobiomodulation of the brain. Available in two pulse rates:

  • 10 Hz (alpha mode) — studied in relation to relaxation and stress responses
  • 40 Hz (gamma mode) — studied in relation to attention and cognitive processes

655 nm red laser (red)

Researched in the context of systemic photobiomodulation.

633 nm red LED (yellow)

Also researched in the context of systemic photobiomodulation.

470 nm blue LED (blue)

Studied in relation to microbial processes. This wavelength is available on this model only.

All MIP devices are built for intranasal photobiomodulation and include the 810 nm wavelength.

The MIP models compared

  • MIP 633-810: two applicators — 810 nm with 633 nm (red LED)

The 470 nm wavelength is studied for intranasal use in the context of microbial processes. It is available on this model only.

The statutory warranty of two years under EU law applies.

  • We are an authorised global reseller for Vielight.
  • Refunds must be claimed through the point of sale where you bought the device.
  • Intranasal applicators bought separately cannot be exchanged or refunded.

The MIP (Multimodal Intranasal Photobiomodulation system) is a versatile device for intranasal application of light in the visible and near-infrared range. It is portable, light and robust, and runs on ordinary AA batteries.

The MIP 470–633–655–810 model carries four interchangeable intranasal modules covering different parts of the spectrum:

  • 470 nm (blue) — studied in relation to microbial processes
  • 633 nm (yellow, red LED) — researched in the context of systemic photobiomodulation
  • 655 nm (red, red laser) — also researched in the context of systemic photobiomodulation
  • 810 nm (violet, NIR) — used in research on photobiomodulation of the brain, pulsed at either 10 Hz or 40 Hz

The manufacturer suggests a session length of about 25 minutes and reports that, with regular use, an observation period of typically four to eight weeks makes sense.
